Can The Subway Diet Make Losing Weight Easier?



In recent years, the fast food industry has been blamed for the rising number of people who are turning overweight and obese. Takeaway food is known to be quite high in fat, salt and sugar and thus, a great cause for concern.

While following this diet, you can choose from various low calorie sandwiches for the main meals such as lunch and dinner. The low fat and low calorie sandwiches allow you to stay below 1000 calories per day. Add 1.5 miles of walking to this and you will surely lose weight within a short time.

In reality, there is no official formula called the Subway diet. It is mostly based on urban myth and rumors about the experience of Jared, Subway’s wonder customer. there are two main versions of the Subway diet, as stated below:

Breakfast: Small bowl of cereal with skimmed milk. Black coffee with sweetener.
Lunch: Turkey Subway Sandwich. Diet Pepsi.
Dinner: Vegetarian Subway Sandwich. Water.
Snacks: Apple, orange, water.

Version 2

Breakfast: Coffee
Lunch: A 6 inch Turkey Sub + potato chips (baked)
Dinner: A 12 inch veggie Sub

Advantages of the Subway Diet

• There is clinical proof supporting the effectiveness of the Subway Diet.
• Today, Jared has become immensely popular.
• Unlike many other weight loss programs, Subway Diet is very convenient and easy to follow.
• The Subway diet encourages walking as part of your weight loss regime. This is a very easy form of exercise and walking 1.5 miles per day takes not more than half an hour.

Disadvantages of the Subway Diet

• Even with easy and convenient features, this diet program is not the most practical to follow.
• Eating subs for lunch and dinner each day is not a healthy lifestyle.
• The recommendations for eating subway food and doing regular exercise are common features of many other diets also.
• Many dieters need a variety of food to choose from while following a weight loss program. This goes beyond subs.
• Before following this diet, you must consult your physician.

Subway Diet Conclusion

By making good choices of the available Subway food, you can actually lose weight through this diet. If you are usually eating takeaway food, the Subway Diet is a good way of burning fat and staying healthy.
