According to Dr. Hyman, dieters can lose 11 to 21 pounds by the end of eight weeks while following the Ultra-metabolism diet.

Moreover, he discourages the intake of sugars, fats, refined grains, unhealthy oils and processed food. The author also suggests reduced consumption of artificial sweeteners and dairy products.
